Jaylee James isn't one of those girls you would catch eating int he cafeteria, what was the point. No she wasn't extremely preppy, just because of the class she took. She just wasn't big on the whole eating with a large crowd. Her brown hair was pull up into a bun, to keep it out of her face as she eat. Jaylee was bored, of course who wouldn't be. Looking around, the courtyard didn't have as many people as it usually did in it, which was strange, if you asked her.

Then again, lately, with it being allowed now, most people left the school to go get something to eat downtown. But Jaylee had stayed behind and class, talking to the teacher. By the time she got around to leaving, all her friends had left. Sighing, she opened up the sandwich she had gotten from the cafeteria, roast beef and cheese. Just because Jaylee was a 'model' didn't mean she didn't eat like everyone else. She was in love with food and completely refused to give it up. If they couldn't accept her the way she was, oh well.

Sighing once more, Jaylee bit into her sandwich. She was a little on the bored side in the large, quiet courtyard. Her eyes gazed around, slighly, as she watched some people passing by, but no one she knew. It was one thing she hated, being alone. Jaylee wasn't use to it at all. She shared her home with her 3 sisters, whom also attended the school with her, so she was never alone there. Otherwise, if she wasn't with them, she was atleast with a friend. Guess there is always a first time for everything, right? Biting into her sandwich again, she stared at the ground. Lost in thought, of course.

How come all her friends had left her? It wasn't usual, they all usually waited on each other. Actually it was more like she waited on them. No wonder Jaylee didn't have all to many friends anymore. The only people she ever hung out with was those in her class and year, why she didn't know. Sighing once more, she sat down her sandwich and picked up her drink, to wash it down. Sitting her drink back upon the round table, Jaylee's eyes scanned the courtyard once more. The was a couple of other people in there now, but like couples, they were just there to eat. When she looked to her right, there was a couple kissing, which wasn't something she really wanted to see at this point in time. Laughing to herself, she looked away and back at her food, smiling.

The cafeteria ahead was far too chaotic. It was totally a bustle with people, and she wasn't up for that today. Sighing, she made her way, alone, across the jam-packed room to the line where kids waited impatiently for a less-than-perfect meal. Honestly, she never understood the concept of lunchtime. That actually went for all three meals, brekfast, lunch, and dinner. Everyone gathered together to watch eachother stuff large quantities of food into their mouths between obnoxious bursts of conversation and laughter. It was stupid, she was sure of it.

Pushing through loads of people and unbearable body heat, she managed to shove her fair arm through to the stacks of fruit on trays. Apple in hand, she decided to retreat as fast as possible before being trapped in this glutton prison. Soom, she was headed towards the courtyard where she knew should could be much closer to alone.

As she entered the less crowded area, or courtyard, she was silent. Her mind though, was quite the opposite, same for her stomach. Her body hungered for food, her soul for dance perfection, so she discarded the apple right away. It was biodegradable, so she wasn't too concerned.

Much to her surprise, many of the benches had been completely filled. On a normal day, there would be much space for girls like Charlotte who couldn't stand the bustle of the cafeteria, and areas downtown, during the lunch hour. Her deep chocolate eyes scimmed the area, praying there was at least one spot vacant. Her wish was granted.

Eyes locked on a half-empty bench, she began to pace across the yard. There was one girl occupying it, and soon to be two. After approaching, she dropped, and the bench caught her fall. Charlotte rested her slender frame atop her elbow, which was pressed against the arm rest.

Coffee, brown eyes wondered the shops downtown. They went back and forth between one little shop to another large resturant. His eyes finally came to a rest on a small coffee shop. It was one of those small business coffee shops. Not a big time coffee shop like Starbucks or anything. Just a cozy corner shop that everyone went to and stated they had the best coffee to their friends. His eyes came closer to the door, seeing as it was closed at that time. Anger flustered inside of his body, but didn't control him.

Julian wasn't the type to get angry at small things like a closed coffee shop. The thing that made him mad was he didn't have a lot of money on hand and the shop was the cheapest thing. Julian shook his head, heading back to the campus. Julian had to walk just a little while, it didn't seem to be that far away. But he was rather tired after going back and forth. He hadn't had a car, after it had been taken away from him when his mother was angry. She had yelled at him and finally took his car, as if that would have made him mad. Julian went through that with his mom all of the time, he didn't car. He could buy a new car, his father giving him money in the bank, but he wouldn't buy one. Just a waste of money when he doesn't really go anywhere anyway.

Julian wondered back onto the campus. He entered the courtyard and was soon in the cafeteria. It was packed in it's usual way, not that many people but it seemed like a lot at times. He walked passed a few people and looked over the food. Julian never ate a lot at once, he always had to snack on something throuout the day. So he just grabbed a quick fix of a few grapes. He plopped them into his mouth and then walked off to find a bench. Julian saw one with two gals on it, so he didn't want to interupt. Then he found one with no one by the gals. He shrugged his shoulders slightly up and down then sat down at it.

Julian was never alone like he was at that moment. Usually he was with at least one friend. He depended on his friends a lot, since his family thought he was a freak. He didn't really have anybody to go to but his friends. But that day they were all gone, doing something together but not with him. This didn't make him that angry, it only made a little confused. Julian was usually asked to go along, but maybe they were just sick of him. Julian shrugged and through a few more grapes into his mouth. Then he laid down on the bench, his feet just barely making it to the end of the bench. Him being so short, he didn't care. He was used to it. Julian looked up a little and made eye contact with a pretty girl, maybe majoring in modeling. He smiled and looked back down at his grapes, plopping one slowly into his mouth.

Kasey sighed. She was finally here. Away from the constant annoyance of her parents and with people that were actually of some interest. She had just come from the dorms where her parents had smothered her with hugs and kisses before getting back in the taxi. She couldn't deny it, she would miss them. Some people hated their parents with a passion, but Kasey didn't see the point. Her parents were actually pretty cool. She was still a teenager, though, and going to high school with no parents was just about the coolest thing that could ever happened. She walked across the campus, those delicate fingers pulling her bangs out of her right eye. Her outfit was today that she had given a lot of thought. A form-fitting pair of jeans, two cute layered tank tops and her adorable polka dotted tote bag that she had just bought. She had gone for the casual, indie look today, hoping to make a good impression on everyone.

As she wandered the campus, she saw the huge line that spilled out of the cafeteria doors. She had already eaten with her parents at a restaurant and personally, she was glad. The food was one thing about going here that she wasn't looking forward to. She saw all the people, already forming their little cliques as they waited in line. A little thought in her head wished that she could have gotten here on opening day. However, she had been in a production back in New York and why go to two months of rehearsal just to miss the performances? Kasey was lucky that the dean had let her move in late, but now she was feeling a little behind everyone. Apparently those first few days were pretty important. She shrugged it off however, knowing that before the day was done, she would meet some people. Whether they liked it or not.

She wandered toward a courtyard that was nearby. It was mostly empty, due to so many people in the cafeteria. Kasey thought about how actually getting lunch there tomorrow would be. Probably hell. She saw a group of benches and some people sitting at them and subconsciously started drifting toward them. They didn't look like they were talking to each other but for all Kasey knew they could be best friends already. She looked around as she got closer, giving the impression that she just happened to wander toward them. Well, that is what happened, wasn't it? She took a look back at the atrocious line and let out a little laugh. "That looks like it will be fun, doesn't it?"She said in a sarcastic voice. She said it loud enough for herself to be heard but didn't talk to anyone in specific, just a general comment that would hopefully be accepted. After all, she didn't want to come on too strong.
